Jack and his family lived across the street from us on Cleveland Terrace. We were pals from 4th grade on. Lived interchangeable in each others homes, long before that sort of thing was common. Our folks got along great. Life was simple, fun, and slow. ~GH

In the "circle" (Cleveland Terrace) we called him Jackie most of the time. Timed bicycle races, tag football and shooting baskets kept us busy outside. When additional houses were being built and there were dirt hills available, they made great places to hide and throw dirt clods. Luckily most of the time we very bad shots. Inside we'd play games and have parties at each others houses or listen to Greg play the organ. I loved to hear Saber Dance. I taught Jackie the basics of dancing, and he went on from there with great natural moves. I miss him. Patti

I'm afraid I don't have any stories to share about Jack(ie), he was just an all around good guy in my book and I am sure I never saw him without a smile on his face. I don't think I ever heard any details on his passing.....I always assumed it must have been a car accident.

At any rate, I enjoy everyone sharing their memories of our class mates; it seems we are a pretty diverse lot of characters and although I don't have a year book and have not seen  anyone since the 20 year Reunion, all the names mentioned instantly bring forth a vivid memory and face..........they say as you get older you can remember things that happened 50 years ago, but not what happened yesterday.........so it's good to hear these childhood remembrances of our Class of 64'.  If there has been a "Golden Age" of America, I think we all came along at that time.    Thanks for sharing.

I became closer to the family of Jack in 1968.  Jacks brother Terry and I were in a  Corvette club together.  Ted Bonich and I always though of Mrs. B as our second Mom.   In the spring of 1968, Jack entered the U S Army and ended up in Vietnam.  He survived a gernade attack with minor injuries.  The last I heard about Jack was in the fall of 1974.  He was killed in an auto accident in IL.  Rest In Peace Jack!
