Mary Elizabeth Matsey Fulkerson, 73, of Columbus, died at 1:49p.m. Tuesday July 2, 2019, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana. Mary was born January 15, 1946, in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Michael Nicholas and Helen Martin Matsey. Mary was a life long Christian and had a strong faith. She was a caring person who loved to help others with a kind word or a small gesture of friendship. Mary took great pleasure in reading and spending time with her family. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday July 7, 2019 at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Wes Jones officiating. Calling will be from 1:00p.m. until time of service. Private Inurnment will take place at Garland Brook Cemetery at a later time.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana. through the funeral home.

Survivors include her sons: Michael (Katie) Fulkerson, Matthew Fulkerson, daughter Martha (Kevin) O’Brien, brothers: Michael (Lee) Matsey, David (Ruth) Matsey, sister-in-law Muriel Matsey, grandchildren: Mason, Benjamin, Mallory, Allie and Aaron.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother William Matsey.

Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
