Bruce Storey - Class Of 1964

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, AUGUST 14, 2013:

Storey, Bruce A. Age 67, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Jesse Brown VA Hospital in Chicago with his loving family by his side. He was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1964. He worked for many years at US Steel-Gary Works. He was currently employed as a Porter at Enterprise Car Rental in Burns Harbor, and was also working part-time as a Custodian for the School City of Hobart. Bruce served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam Conflict and was stationed in Germany. He attended the First United Methodist Church of Hobart. He was an active member of the Bonner Center and the New Horizons Singles. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Hobart Lodge No. 783.

Bruce was born December 29, 1945 in Gary, IN to Beatrice and Ross Storey. He was preceded in death by his wife Jo Anne (nee Munro) and his parents. He is survived by his daughter Barbara Jo Storey and his loving partner Carole Gilbert. Also surviving are his brothers Terry (Joan) and Dave Storey; 11 nephews, 1 niece, 3 great-nieces, a great-nephew and many cousins and friends.

Funeral Services are Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit with Bruce's family on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home (Hobart).
