Lynn Eikenbary was born September 20, 1945 in Gary, Indiana. She lost her battle with Leukemia on May 17, 2022. Lynn is preceded in death by: Paul Eikenbary, Alice (Tvrzicky) Eikenbary and sister, Myrna Eikenbary Hart. She is survived by her brother Paul Douglas Eikenbary. Lynn attended Hobart High school , class of 1963. She earned her degrees to be a Physical Education teacher from Purdue University. (HHS’67, MS HHS’71). She was a retired Elementary Physical Education Teacher from District 54. Lynn was involved in in many volunteer activities. Her naturalist’s heart was most devoted to the Spring Valley Nature Sanctuary. As a forty plus year volunteer, she assisted with: conservation projects, school groups, farm activities and special events. Awards for her altruistic service include Spring Valley Nature Club Meineke Award 1988, Spring Valley Volunteer of the Year 2009, and Schaumburg Volunteer of the Year 2015.
