Keith H. Enslen Obituary
Keith H. Enslen, age 65, of Lombard passed away on January 4th, 2015. Keith served in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1972. While in the Air Force, he met and married his wife, Barbara. They moved to Lombard in 1974, where they lived until his death. Upon leaving the Air Force, he worked as a paramedic for the Lombard Fire Department for many years. He most recently worked in the plumbing supply distribution industry until he retired in 2006. When he was young, he played guitar in a band called ""The Hitchhikers"" in Hobart, IN. Throughout the years, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, and watching sci-fi movies. He was also the best ""handyman"" and could fix anything around the house.
Many that he loved preceded him in death, including his beloved wife of 35 years, Barbara; son, James; parents, Kenneth Sr. and Rose; and siblings, Kenneth Jr. and Kathy. He is survived by his daughter, Janice (Michael) Harden; son, Jonathan (Olga) Enslen; and 5 grandchildren, James Harden (5), Louisa Enslen (4), Grant Harden (3), Victor Enslen (2), and Lincoln Harden (1).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, from 4 - 9pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015, with prayers at 9:30am at Brust Funeral Home followed by a mass at Christ the King Church, 1501 S. Main Street, Lombard, and interment services at Assumption Cemetery at 1 S. 510 Winfield Road, Wheaton. He will be dearly missed by his children and grandchildren who he visited every Sunday for the last 6 years.
