Connie Jean Roberts, age 75, passed away on November 9, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born on May 5, 1949, in Gary, Indiana. She devoted her life to caring for others, both as a registered nurse and within her family circle.
Connie proudly served in the Army Medical Corps, where her dedication to medical service was evident in her tireless commitment and skill. After her military service, she continued her career in healthcare at Methodist Hospital in Gary, Indiana, before transferring to Virginia Regional Medical Center. There, she became the nursing supervisor, a role she held until her retirement, exemplifying leadership and compassion.
She graduated from Hobart High School and furthered her education at Indiana University School of Medicine, which laid the foundation for her illustrious career in nursing.
Outside of her professional life, Connie was an avid fisherwoman, often found casting lines and enjoying the serene landscapes near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area with her family. These moments were among her most cherished.
Connie leaves behind her loving husband: Harvey Roberts; her children: Aaron (Lela) Roberts, and Ryan Beth (Paul Wayne Allen) Roberts; grandchildren: Turiya Leon and Angelina Allen; and step-grandchildren: Emily and Ailie McCarthy.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John Robert and Rose Jean Mills.
\Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until the 1:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service Monday, November 18, 2024, at the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. Greg Anderson will be the Celebrant.
