ARTICLE FROM CHICAGO TRIBUNE, SEPTEMBER 4, 1990:

MICHIGAN CITY, IND. — A Hobart man drowned in Lake Michigan on Monday after rescuing a woman who got into water over her head, officials said.

Robert Frybort Jr., 32, was swimming at the Washington Park beach on the north side of Michigan City when he saw the other swimmer in trouble about 12:30 p.m.

"He went out to assist, got her into shallower water, then stepped into a deep trough, went under and drowned," according to conservation officer Wilson Davis.

Divers from the Michigan City Police Department recovered Frybort`s body.
