Paul E. Neyhart Sr., age 82, of Portage passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at Porter Regional Hospital with his family at his side. Paul was born May 3, 1933 in Gary, Indiana to the late Ernest and Beaulah (nee Stanford) Neyhart. Paul was a retired Gary and Hobart Water Works, plant operator. Paul was a wonderful husband, dedicated father; grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Beverly of Portage; three sons, Paul Ernest (Deborah) Neyhart Jr. of Portage, Richard Dale (David Hobbs) Neyhart of Portage and Keith Allen (Jodi Krill) Neyhart of Michigan City; six step children, Tana L. Conner, Gerald Franklin Hinkle, Susan Y. Dallas, Jeffery H. Hinkle, Edie Arwood and Shannon Sutton;10 grandchildren, Christina (Gary) Ray, Jaime (Josh) Skalba, Bill (Kari) Elkins, Angela Sandilla, Shawn Neyhart, Sarah Herauf, Halston Neyhart, Brianna Neyhart, Brittany Bolton and Sharon Neyhart; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; 14 step- grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth (Carol) Neyhart and Wayne Neyhart; two sisters, Frances (Willard) Neeley and Sharon (John) McKenzie and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday April 14, 2016 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, and 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, IN 46368.
