He joined The Navy in 1966. Married Connie Compton of Gary Indiana in February 1968, the couple had 1 child, a baby girl born on Nov 29th, 1968. He spent most of his career traveling with the Navy, he retired in the 90's and moved to Statesboro Georgia in May of 2008. In September 27th 2013 a wellness check was done by his daughter after numerous attempts and living a 1000 miles away, was told by police he was found deceased for at least 5 days prior. He passed from a massive heart attack and COPD.
