Steven Davis Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel Inc on Mar. 4, 2025.
Steven Floyd Davis, 79, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Good Samaritan Home and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his loving family. Steve was born in Huntington, Indiana on June 6, 1945, to the late Floyd F. and Lola Davis (Johnson).
Steve worked for 38 years at Bethlehem Steel. In retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, bowling, and was an active member of the American Legion Post #248. Steve was an avid sportsman. There was not an animal on earth he couldn't hunt, trap, or harvest. He taught us about the value of patience, the thrill of the hunt, and the joy of time spent with family and friends. His legacy will live on in the lessons he shared, the memories he created, and the love he gave.
Steve was a Vietnam era Army soldier, who served in Germany during the 1960's. He played basketball for the Army all over Europe before being honorably discharged.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd F. and Lola B. Davis (Johnson); step-mother, Alice A. Davis; and brother, John Michael Davis.
He is survived his daughters, Chanda Zirkelbach (Adam), Tiffany Rodrigue (Brad), and Danita Sudac (Jim); sister, Sally Stetcher (Steve); step-brother, Richard Lundgren (Kay) and 9-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation at this time. The family will announce a Celebration of Life at a later date after cremation has taken place.
