OBITUARY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY BROTHER DAVID JANOTT:

Jeff (John) Janott passed away on January 26, 2024.  Born in Gary, Jeff was 79 years old at the time of his passing.  Jeff was raised in Hobart.  He graduated from Hobart High and attended Indiana University Northwest.

Jeff was an active member of Ridge United Methodist Church and loved volunteering with the Munster Little League as a coach and board member.  He embraced being a husband, father, and grandfather.

Jeff worked for Commonwealth Edison at the State Line Generating Station until retirement and then retrained for a new career with Johnson Controls, where he worked for another decade.  Later in life he invested in and improved multiple properties in his adopted hometown of Lafayette, Indiana.

Survivors include Tina Janott, spouse, Jill (Terry) Dooley nee Janott, daughter, Americo (Laura) Montemayor, son, and Janet (Eliseo) Gutierrez, daughter.  Eliseo Jr, Miguel, Selena, Brandon, and Jeff are beloved grandchildren.
