Tom Luedtke - Class Of 1968

OBITUARY FROM THE NW INDIANA TIMES WEBSITE, MAY 18, 1999:

Thomas B. Luedtke "Tommy Turtle", 48, a lifelong Hobart resident, passed away in St. Mary Medical Center on Saturday, May 15, 1999. Tom was a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1968. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict-U.S. Army and a construction electrician for NIPSCO with 26 years of service.

Survived by wife of 29 years, Debbie (nee Shirey) Luedtke of Hobart; two daughters, Kris (fiance, Joe Casko) Luedtke of Valparaiso and Carrie (Scott) McCabe Luedtke of Hobart; two granddaughters, Ellexus and Taylr McCabe; three brothers, Dick (Susie) Luedtke and Terry (Jean) Luedtke, both of Hobart and Jim (Terri) Luedtke of Portage; one sister, Lori (Dave) Bull of Hobart; parents, Joan and Chuck Luedtke of Hobart; maternal grandparents, Mary and Cub Bair of Portage; many nieces and nephews; in-laws, Les and Dorothy Shirey of Syracuse, IN, brother-in-law, Gordon (Jan) Shirey of Hobart; sisters-in-law, Barb (Scott) Workman and Sue (Bob) Thornberry, both of Hobart and Pam (Jim) Williams of Chesterton; aunts and uncles and many special cousins and loving friends.

Funeral services Wednesday, May 19, 1999, 1 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, (corner of Rt 51 & 7th Street), Hobart, IN. Burial, Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Contributions may be made to The Thomas B. Luedtke Memorial Fund.
