Robert L. Field, age 69, of Hobart, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 6, 2003. He was a member of Central Baptist Church; a retired employee of Midwest Steel; and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert F. Field, He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Marlies Field; sons, Michael (Lisa) Field and Jeffrey R. (Lorri) Field and daughter, Gwen Field, all of Hobart; daughter, Jill (Jeffrey) Campbell of Hamburg, MI; mother, Jean L. Field and brother James (Janet) Field of Hobart; brother Jack (Judy) Field of Edisto Island, S.C. and brother, Richard (Pat) Field of Cave Creek, AZ; father and mother-in-law, Vernon and Mathilda Rage of Chicago; loving grandchildren: D.J. Michael, Joshua (Sandy), Rachel (John) Considine, Justin and Robert; great-grandchildren Alex and Aisha and a host of loving relatives and friends. Bob always had a sunny disposition and was deeply loved by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Central Baptist Church, 704 W. 700 N., Hobart, IN, Rev. David Webb officiating. Burial at McCool Cemetery. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Burns Funeral Home (corner of Rt 51 and 7th St.) Hobart. Contributions are preferred to Central Baptist Church or Kids Alive International.
