Raymond M. Shallenberger, Jr., 63, of Anderson, formerly of New Castle, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026. He was born September 22, 1962, in Hammond, Indiana.

Ray graduated from the University of Southern California and worked in the hospitality industry. He worked for Grey Goose Vodka and SPAGO Restaurant in Los Angeles. Ray had been an active member of Cadiz Christian Church.

Ray is survived by sister Cheri (Greg) Dees as well as nieces and nephews, Robert Valdivia, Denise (David) Beatty, Jessica (Zach) Vaughn, Mike Leigh, David Leigh, Brandon Leigh, Mathew Dees, Johnathan Dees. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond M. Shallenberger, Sr., his mother Edith (Christian) Siminski, sisters Claudia Valdivia and Joy Bafford and niece Cheryl Bafford.

A funeral to celebrate Ray’s life will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Cadiz Christian Church 4894 State Road 38, New Castle, IN 47362. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Calvary Cemetery Portage, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cadiz Christian Church 4894 State Road 38, New Castle, IN 47362.
