Robert Glenn Julian, 80 of Valparaiso passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 while surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife, Revona "Randy" of 58 years; their daughters: Deborah (Clyde) Greiner and Jennifer (Kevin) Keating; grandsons: Nicholas (Kimberly) Greiner, Zachary Greiner, and Maxwell Keating; great granddaughters: Liliana and Emma Greiner; siblings: Jack (Carol) Julian, Rachel Kristophel, and Judith (Eugene) Hollingsworth; sister-in-law, Dixie Julian; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his son, Steven Julian; and siblings: Ralph Julian, Jr., Harry Julian, Richard Julian, Joan Lee, and Elizabeth Fischer; and his parents, Ralph and Rachel Julian.

Robert joined the U.S. Navy in 1956, serving on the USS Porterfield. After being honorably discharged, he became a computer specialist and worked at Bethlehem Steel in Burns Harbor for over 25 years. In addition to being a caring father, Robert also was involved in two organizations in the area. The BPOE Elks 500, where he served as Exalted Ruler. He also was a Mason and a Shriner, where he was involved with the Temple Guard. Robert was also a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church 505 Bullseye Lake Rd., Valparaiso with Fr. Roger A. Bower officiating. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to: St. Andrew's Episcopal Church or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
