Mary E. Bristol (nee Bracken), Age 64 years, of Portage, passed away in Hobart, Monday, July 31, 2000.She is survived by her mother, Dorothy

Bracken of Portage; 1 son, William J. (Denise) Bristol of Vincennes, IN.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Hobart, where she taught at Liberty Elementary School for 22 years. She was a graduate of Indiana University with BS in Education and a Master's degree from Valparaiso University. She was a former member of the Board of Directors for the Hobart YMCA and a member of the Hobart First United Methodist Church and St. Mary Medical Center Auxiliary.

There will be no funeral service. Cremation took place at the Kraft Funeral Services & Crematory, Inc., 370 N. County Line Rd. Hobart.

In lieu of a Memorial service, the family requests contributions be made to the Cancer Research Association.

Mary was a graduate of Hobart [Indiana] High School class of 1954.
Mary's cremains are scattered at the Bracken family farm in Hobart, Indiana.
