Connie Lynn Gray (Minnich) - Class Of 1973

OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, OCTOBER 26, 2008:

CONNIE LYNN MINNICH (nee GRAY) August 5, 1955 - Oct. 24, 2008 A lifelong Northwest Indiana resident, passed away following an extended and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was a graduate of Hobart High School-class of 1973. Up until recently, she was employed at Flamingo Pizza, and formerly worked at Gary National Bank and Prudential Insurance Company. She was known as a wonderful cook, and for enjoyment of various crafts and cross word puzzles. For many years, she participated in Bingo at American Legion Post #100 in Lake Station. All aspects of nature were very special to her on a daily basis, and she will miss her dear cats, Buddy & Cody.

Up until her final day, Connie was a true fighter--and lived every individual day to the fullest. Her parents, Ray & Josephine Gray, preceded her in death. Connie is survived by her daughter, Amanda Minnich of Merrillville; brother, Donny Gray of Crown Point; sister, Pam-and her family; Significant-other, Michael Pokrajac of Miller. Also her loving nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends throughout Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, under Savich & Semplinski Directors. Interment, Memory Lanes Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the Humane Society, the American Cancer Society in Connie's name.
