Elaine "Crickett" Williams, 70, of Monticello, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025 at her residence.
She was born on January 9, 1955 in Gary to the late James Cecil and Elsie Leona (Stanley) Stewart. She married Jimmy Ray Whitlow and then David Wayne Williams. Both preceded her in death.
She was part the Hobart High School class of 1974 and went on to work at Coil-Tran in Hobart for more than 20 years. Crickett enjoyed watching the cooking and game channels and feeding the neighborhood cat. She made friends with her neighbors wherever she lived. She especially cherished time spent with her family. She'll be missed, but never forgotten.
She is survived by her children, Jenifer Roeske of Monticello, Jason (Patty) Whitlow of OH; bonus son, Tommy Wilson of Hobart; sister, Sheila Stewart Camplan; grandchildren, Aleck, Halee, Joshua, and Nolan; great-grandson, Benjamin "Benny".
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Paul Stewart, Christopher "Marvin" Stewart, Wanda Hetzel, and James Stewart.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of services at 6:00 pm Monday, August 18, 2025 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Pastor Brad Stroetz officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
