Obituary for Cheryl Gjuraj

Cheryl Kay Gjuraj, age 60, of Manteno, Illinois, passed away on January 7, 2022.

She is survived by her husband, Sander, son- Nick Mucha, daughter-in-law- Michele Mucha, step-son- Kyle Gjuraj, step-daughter- Kellie Gjuraj, brother- Hank Wilfong, sisters- Diana (Michael) McCord and Dawn (Kevin) Powers, grandsons- Jackson and Micah and granddaughters- Maddy and Johanna. Cheryl is preceded in death by her Mom, Joann Carlson, her step-father, Jim Carlson, her father, Henry (Pete) Wilfong, Sr. and her sister, Cynthia Ann Wilfong and her sister-in-law, Debbie Wilfong.

She was a recipient of two lung transplants and showed how much of a fighter she was. Cheryl adored her husband and he cared for her selflessly. She treasured her grandchildren. Cheryl would stay up until all hours of the night watching mystery shows and the Hallmark channel. We know she is in her favorite place sitting on the beach basking in the sun.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, Indiana. www.burnsfuneral.com
