John Charles David, age 42, of Hobart passed away Friday, October 17, 2003. He was a lifetime Hobart resident. John worked as a musician and traveled all over the world with the USO entertaining the troops.

He is survived by his father, Kenneth (Arlene) David of Hobart; one brother, Kenneth W. (Jaye) David of Hobart; two sisters, Laura (Jon) Piornack of Valparaiso and Mary Beth (Andy) Gregory of Hobart; Cousin David Neeley of Crown Point; five nieces and nephews: Ryan (Lori) David, William David, Rachel (Tim) Harley, Andrew Gregory and Janis Gregory; and one great-nephew, David Harley. Preceded in death by his mother, Lennie David.

Funeral services are Monday, October 20, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, with Pastor John Promisson officiating. Cremation will follow at Calvary Crematory. Visitation is Monday, October 20th, 2:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.
