Jeffrey Nelson - Class Of 1979

OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, APRIL 14, 2005:

Jeffrey A. Nelson "Wire-X" Las Vegas/NW Indiana Jeffrey A. Nelson "Wire-X", age 44, a longtime area resident, passed away in Las Vegas, NV, April 7, 2005. He was a loving, kind soul who touched everyone who met him with his sweet gentle way.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lori (Schilling) Nelson of Las Vegas; beloved stepson, Ian Ketchum of Las Vegas; father, Lewis "Bud" Nelson of Hobart; sister, Linda (Timothy) Wyatt of Hobart; grandfather, Lafayette Cargill of Hobart; sisters: Koneta and Helen; cousins: Pam, Dawn and Amy; nephew, Mikey. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Fayette "Fay" Nelson.

Jeff was a former employee of the Harold News Group and Holiday Rent-A-Car. He worked for Cox Communications of Las Vegas. A computer consultant, he was director of operations in Las Vegas for Beverage Metrics. He was a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1979. He was a self-taught computer nerd and a M.I.P.D. composer. He loved art and music and spent much of his time creating both. He adored his kitty "Rose" and his dog "Nikki". He loved nature and now he is nature. We all have a mission in life. Jeff's was to try to get people to love, accept and respect everyone else, regardless of their race, religion or social status through both his music and his actions. He will be missed by those who loved him and he will always be a part of you.

In lieu of flowers, please spread some love around in Jeff's honor. A Memorial Service will be held celebrating his life on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. from the Kraft Funeral Services, 370 North County Line Road, Hobart.
