
OBITUARY FROM LAKEVIEW FUNERAL HOME (LAPORTE, IN) WEBSITE:
Verlin Eugene “Geno” Frazier, 86, passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2025.
He was born on January 15, 1938 in Marion, Indiana to Verlin Monroe and Willie B. (Tackett) Frazier who preceded him in death. He was married to the love of his life, Shelba (King) Frazier who also preceded him in death in 2023.
Geno was a union carpenter, a meticulous master at his craft. He loved woodworking and created many heirloom quality furniture pieces and specialty rocking horses for family and friends. In his retirement, he loved gardening and spending time with family for summer cookouts. He proudly served his country in Korea in The United States Army. He was a member of the VFW Post 7760 and the Port City American Legion Post 260.
Geno is survived by daughter Shelly (Stephen) Snider, and grandchildren, Caitlin Weisel (Captain Cody Phelps, U.S. Army), Tarin Snider (Isaac Serles) and Madelin Snider. He is also survived by daughter Valerie (John) Cusick Rogers and grandchildren, Brianne (Marc) Stojkovich, great granddaughter Emma Stojkovich, grandson Ryan Cusick and granddaughters Paige Cusick and Cassidy Cusick.
Funeral services will be held on January 15, 2025 at Graceland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 1505 Morthland Drive, Valparaiso, IN. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel followed by graveside burial service at Graceland.
