OBITUARY FROM HUBBELL FUNERAL HOME (BELLEAIR BLUFFS, FL) WEBSITE:

John Ermal Watkins of Largo, passed away peacefully at home on January 2nd, 2022 after a sudden and brief battle with Leukemia. He was 77. John was born in Valparaiso, Indiana on September 14, 1944.

John followed in his parents footsteps as a founding owner of Kentucky Fried Chicken stores. In his later years he had a successful career in the healthcare industry and various delightful endeavors, He had a legion of beloved friends all he considered family.

He is survived by his wife Lila, the Wisniewski Clan, his children Debbie (Marty) and David (Tina). John was preceded in death by son John Todd (JT) who is survived by his wife Delores (DJ). John had many favorite grandchildren Jens (Jessica), Elizabeth (Bryan), Andrew (Kira), Katarena, Julie, Danny, Alexa and preceded in death by the lovely Samantha. John had seven precious great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Terry (Sonia) who carried on the KFC Watkins tradition, their children, spouses and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on February 5th, at 2:00 pm at Hubbell Funeral Home. A reception will be held immediately following at Belleair Country Club.
