Donna Mae (Kuechenberg) Gill passed away unexpectedly on November 18, 2024, at the age of 82.

Donna was born to Rudy and Marion (Neis) Kuechenberg on December 18, 1941. She was raised in Hobart, Indiana, with her eight siblings. Her childhood set the foundation for her love of horses and outdoor adventures.

Donna and Max Gill welcomed four children into their family: Max Jr., Marian, Jennifer, and Reenee and expanded the family with their spouses Sarah (Meyers) Gill, Larry Costakis, and Paul Gotta, along with 11 grandchildren (Max, Evan, Gavin, Garrett and Emma Gill, Rob and Alex Smallman, Claire, Kora and Andrew Costakis, and Katherine Gotta), and three great-grandchildren (Emersen and Henry Smallman, and Sadie Gill).

Donna was actively involved with and was instrumental in the formation of the Hobart Women’s Softball League and coached softball in Hobart and Lakes of the Four Seasons for many years. Donna was a longtime Hobart business operator serving as co-owner of Superior Interiors. She treasured her lifelong friends as well as those dear to her within her residential community.

Her passion ran deep for motorbiking while traveling frequently across the U.S. feeling the wind on her face and taking mental photographs on her beloved scooter, Sylvia. She enjoyed planning her routes months in advance in detail and cherished sharing her photos with friends and family upon her return.

Donna proudly marched through life to the beat of her own drum. She will be dearly missed.
