Barbara Ann Langendorfer, age 91, of Portage, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. She was born on October 18, 1934, in Gary, Indiana, to Cletus and Mary (Groves) Brown. Barbara married James Langendorfer on September 21, 1952.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lynn Vaught of Portage, IN; three sons, Jim (Carol) Langendorfer of Eatonton, GA, Ron Langendorfer of Chesterton, IN, Randall (Carlos) Langendorfer of Costa Rica; two granddaughters, Michelle Vaught, Laura (Dan) Schuster; three grandsons, Steven (Maribel) Vaught, Bob Langendorfer, Tim Langendorfer; two great-grandsons, Bryce Vaught, Henry Schuster; two great-granddaughters, Brianna Vaught, Hannah Schuster; son in law, Al Vaught of TX; daughter in law, Marcia Guth of FL; and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James Langendorfer; her parents; brother, Robert (Shirl) Brown; two sisters, Sharon (Joe) Croell, Louise (Rich) McGhee.

Barbara enjoyed going to Las Vegas and to the casinos. She loved puzzles, playing bingo, and games of any sort. She and James traveled together extensively and loved seeing the country and family. Barbara loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her life was her family.

Per her wishes, no services will be held. Barbara's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Windward Pointe and Traditions Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Barbara and her loved ones. Arrangements were entrusted to Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel.
