OBITUARY FROM CHESTERTON TRIBUNE WEBSITE, OCTOBER 28, 2011:

Barbara A. Walker, age 71 of Portage, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011, at her daughter's home in Chesterton. She was born July 21, 1940 in Chicago, Ill., to Hollis and Leona (Noeth) Bacon, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Kendrell S. Walker, her beloved husband of 45 years, who preceded her in death in 2005.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Scott) Daniels of Chesterton; brother, Alan (Marge) Bacon of South Carolina; sisters, Leona (Bruce) Dombey of Portage and Mary (Robert) Robison-Hutton of Valparaiso; sister-in-law, Fediela Foster, grandchildren Britney Cisarik (Jeremy Arney) and Samantha Daniels and great grandson, Tyler Arney.

Barbara was a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1958. She loved bingo which she played at St. Frances in Lake Station with her great friend Lucy Cisarik.

There will be no services. Cremation will be performed by Heritage Crematory, Portage, Ind. Arrangements by Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.EE-FH.com.
