EDWARD A. "SONNY" GOFF NEW CHICAGO/HOBART, IN Edward A. "Sonny" Goff, 69, of New Chicago/Hobart, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Millers Merry Manor in Hobart. Sonny had been a longtime Northwest Indiana resident and was a self-employed contractor. He played bass guitar and was a member of "Ed Goff & the Untouchables" Band. Sonny enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda; mother, Clara Goff; two sons: Fred (Kelli) Williams of Lake Station, Eddie Remm of Hobart; two daughters: Kim Williams and Vicki Watts, both of Hobart; six grandchildren; brother, John Goff of Hobart; sister-in-law, Mary Goff; and four nephews. His father, Edward "Smokey" Goff preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Pastor Bill Barrow officiating. Burial will follow the service at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 28, 2010 from 2:00-8:00 PM with a Hobart Eagles service at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 219-942-2109 or online at: www.reesfuneralhomes.com
