Robert Dean Gravel, 85, of Houston Texas, passed away on April 19, 2025.

He was born in Portage, Indiana in 1939 to Ronald and Edna Gravel. Robert attended Hobart High School before joining the U.S. Navy. He then worked at U.S. Steel in Gary before moving to Houston to work for West University and Southside Place in public works. He was affectionately known as "Rocky" by all his friends and co-workers.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda, his parents Ronald and Edna, and his sister Betty. He is survived by his two sons Tim and Calvin, his brother Bill and sister Bonnie and their families and his late sister Betty's family.

A service is planned for Friday, May 2, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Garden Oaks Funeral Home located at 13430 Bellaire Blvd. Houston, TX 77083.
