Virginia Mayes (Hedger) - Class Of 1958

OBITUARY FROM BURNS FUNERAL HOME WEBSITE:

Virginia Lee Hedger (nee Mayes), age 80, passed away August 10, 2021. She was a lifetime resident of Hobart with her thirteen brothers and sisters, father-William Mayes, mother-Anna Smith. Virginia was very devoted to her family and was loved and respected by many. Virginia’s hobbies included painting, arts and crafts, computers, and playing in dart competitions (and winning many trophies). She will be greatly missed.

Virginia is survived by her children-Jeff Wayne Hedger, Vera-Ellen Davis, James Richard (Rose) Hedger and Lori Ann Hedger; fifteen grandchildren-Leanna Rose Hedger, Andrew Michael Hedger, Jeremy Richard Hedger, Natasha Nicole Hedger, Candice Maria Hedger, Eli Hedger, Josh Hedger, Matt Hedger, Shawn Davis, Kevin Davis, Sarah Davis, Nichole Tores, Joseph Abad and Daniel Abad; ten great grandchildren-Isaiah Shawn Stevenson, Killian Louis Dailey, Emma May Fitzgerald, Aysia Fitzgerald, Gabe Fitzgerald, NieAva Hedger, Levi Davis, Shelby Davis, Caitlynn (George) Uriah Tores, Isabella Tores.

Visitation for Virginia will be Monday, August 16, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m., at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart, Rev. Michael Cover officiating. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated. www.burnsfuneral.com.
