OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, MARCH 26, 2007:

VIRGIL WINSTON "Bud" Hobart, Indiana Age 66 passed away Sunday, March 25, 2007. He was a longtime Hobart resident and was formerly a bartender for Camelot Bowling Alley in Hobart. Bud was a longtime member of the Hobart Eagles, AERIE #2498 and also served as Vice President. He loved watching the Cubs and was an avid fan.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Carrol of Hobart; 1 niece, Mary Franks of TX; 3 nephews, Robert James (Sarita) Franks of SC, William B. Franks of NH, Paul (Lori) Carrol Jr. of MO; 1 aunt, Marie (Leonard) Sieckman of Hobart; great niece that he helped raise, Hollie (Ivan) Moralas of NH; 7 great-nieces; 2 great nephews; 2 great-great nephews; 1 great-great niece; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil "Bob" and Elizabeth "Betty" Winston Sr. and 1 brother-in-law, Paul Carrol Sr.

Funeral services are Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Cremation will follow at Calvary Crematory, Portage. Visitation is Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a 7:15 p.m. Eagles service at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. www.reesfuneralhomes.com.
