Deborah Michelle Raley, age 63 of Michigan City, IN passed away on August 19, 2021.

Deborah was born on August 24, 1957 in Gary, IN to Edward Joseph and Lyndal Ann (Elstad) Koen who precedes her in death.

She is survived by her children, Amanda (Charles) Buckmaster of Lafayette and Dennis Koen of Michigan City; grandson, Mason Neese; sister, Denise Koen; brother, David Koen; and her beloved pets, Maya and Buttercup.

Deborah was employed at the Indiana State Prison for 22 years as a Correctional Officer. She was a Guardian Rider and was a Canine Member for the Indiana State Prison. She loved her animals.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington Street, Michigan City, IN 46360. There will be an additional visitation on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
