Cynthia Ann Carr (nee Tluczek), age 48 of Portage, passed away Friday, December 17, 2004. Cynthia had been a lifelong Hobart and Portage area resident. She was a graduate of Hobart High School Class of 1975 and was an employee of Parents and Friends. Cynthia was a member of Hobart Presbyterian Church and enjoyed making crafts and baking and loved cats.

Cynthia is survived by her mother, Violet Tluczek of Portage; one brother, Joe (Shawn) Tluczek of Lake Station and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Preceded in death by her father, Bernard on July 7, 1999.

Memorial contributions are preferred for family wishes. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. Jeffrey C. Carter officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will be Monday, December 20, 2004 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.
