Ronald "Tippy" Albert 89, of LaPorte, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at home. He was born May 13, 1935 in Evergreen Park, Illinois to Arthur Lucien and Pearl (Hultquist) Albert. On August 24, 1957 he married Cheryl Behnke who passed away July 15, 2021.

Ron is survived by his son Michael (Lisa) Albert of Westville, his grandson Brady Albert of Westville and honorary grandson Aaron Lachiewicz of Westville. He was a retired Union Glazier retiring after 41 years of service with various companies. Ron was a 1953 Hobart High School graduate.

Visitation for Ron will be on Monday, March 24th from 10:00 AM until Noon. at the Newhard Funeral Home in Westville. Private family burial will take place at Pinhook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the IHSAA Foundation.
