OBITUARY FROM SAVANNAH MORNING NEWS VIA SAVANNAH NOW (SAVANNAH, GA) WEBSITE:
Katherine Jayne Keller Morrow, age 90, of Savannah, died on November 12, 2025 in Atlanta. She was born in Chicago on August 31, 1935 to Guy and Dorothy Keller and grew up in Hobart, Indiana. After high school, she attended Stephens College for one year and then transferred to Northwestern University. The summer following her junior year she met the love of her life, Gordon Morrow, whom she married and followed to Ann Arbor, Michigan where he was a student at the University of Michigan. They were together for 57 years until his death in 2013.
During the course of their marriage, they were wonderful parents to their three children, whom they raised in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois and Savannah, Georgia. As the mother of two young boys, she returned to college and obtained her degree in speech pathology from the University of Illinois in 1968. She later obtained her masters degree from Armstrong State University. She taught briefly, but was first and foremost devoted to her family. She encouraged and supported her children and often said that her hope was to give them “roots and wings.” She was a gourmet chef, a master gardener, and a voracious reader. When she moved south with her husband and daughter in 1979, she and Gordon embraced Savannah, making new friends and becoming active in Isle of Hope United Methodist Church. As a new transplant, she took a crash course in Savannah history and drove a tour bus for the Savannah Historic Foundation. They always felt fortunate to live in such a beautiful place.
She is survived by her three children, Jordon (Temple) of Savannah, Guy (Edith) of Orinda, California and Anne Bullock (Brian) of Smyrna, Ga. as well as six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A family celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
