Herman William Rosenbaum was born on September 19, 1935, in Gary, Indiana to parents; Elmer and Helen (née Thompson) Rosenbaum. He died December 22, 2025, in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Herman attended Hobart High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1953. After graduation he made a career as a builder and carpenter and retired from Powers & Sons Construction. He married his wife; Nancy (née Jenkins) Rosenbaum on April 21, 1956, and they had two daughters. 

Herman was preceded in death by his parents- Elmer and Helen; sister- Ruth Demmon. He is survived by his loving wife- Nancy; daughters- Sharon (Kent) Dixon, Karen (David) Fleming; grandchildren- Michele, Holly, Dennis, Greg, Kevin; great-grandchildren- Kaley, Tinley, Kinsley, and Henry; and sister- Peggy Nevin.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart, IN. www.burnsfuneral.com
