OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, NOVEMBER 3, 2010

CONNIE JOHNSON (nee Williams)
Maryville, Tennessee

Passed away peacefully at home Monday evening November 1, 2010. Connie graduated from Hobart High School in 1957. She lived in Crown Point for 10 years and was a former member of First Methodist Church of Crown Point. She retired from Anderson Company after many years of service. She started her new adventure with her husband down by the lake in Maryville, TN where she loved the outdoor living. She was a member of Carson Island Baptist Church. Connie loved the sport of bowling where she developed many special friendships. She shared her beautiful smile with everyone she came into contact with. Family and friends were most important to Connie and she cherished every moment with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruby Bemis; brothers-in-law, Tony Cortese and Robert Broda; nephew, Phillip Broda. Connie is survived by her husband, Donald Johnson; son, Scott Williams; daughters, Lisa (Jerry) Tucker, Lori (Shawn) Nicklas; step-daughters, Beverly (Dave) Springsteen, Jacquetta (Scott) Finnegan, Michelle (Mike) Keith; granddaughter, Stefanie Nanney; step-grandchildren, Greg Bradach, Natalie Finnegan, Abbie and Matthew Keith; sisters, Lois Cortese, Carol Broda, Pam (Daniel) Cooper; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2010 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November, 6th at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
