OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, AUGUST 4, 2004

Gloria Prezny (nee Jarnigan) Hobart Gloria Prezny (nee Jarnigan), age 73, of Hobart passed away Monday, August 2, 2004. Gloria was born in West Frankfort, IL and had been a long time Hobart resident, graduating from Hobart High School in 1948. She retired from Shaver Motors in 2000 with 36 years of service. Gloria was a member of the Gary Secretary's Club and the American Legion Post 454 Auxiliary. She formerly was active with South Haven Little League and was an avid Cubs fan. Gloria enjoyed playing golf and was a former member of the Crestmoor Ladies Golf League. Gloria attended Assumption BVM Church.

Survivors: husband of 23 years, Bob "Pete" Prezny of Hobart; one son, Mark T. Hanson of Hobart; two stepsons, Robert (Renee) Preniczny of Minneapolis, MN and Scott (Joann) Preniczny of Grant, FL; two grandchildren, Kristen and Michael Preniczny who were the light of her life; sister-in-law. Dr. Beth Przeniczny of St. John; several nieces and nephews; two best friends, Joanne Kloth and Shirlee Karras. Preceded in death by parents, John and Fern Jarnigan and sister, Shirley Tucker.

A prayer service will be held Thursday,7 P.M. Funeral Service Friday, August 6, 2004, at 10 a.m. from Rees Funeral Home, 600 W.Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Rev. Jon J. Plavcan officiating. Burial, Hobart Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, 2 to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.
