OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, SEPTEMBER 27, 2005

David S. Schaefer, age 22, of Hobart, IN passed away Sunday, September 25, 2005. He was a lifelong Hobart resident and graduated from Hobart High School. He was employed with Body Tech in Merrillville. His seventy-two Olds Cutlass was his pride and joy, and he had a strong passion for playing guitar and music production. He will be remembered as a wonderful son, grandson and loyal friend.

David is survived by his mother Carol (Andy) Andjelich of Hobart; father Robert (Jeanette) Schaefer of Hobart; maternal grandmother Geraldine (Charles Murvihill) McGlothen; uncles: Bob McGlothen and David Humenik; cousins: Robert Ryan and Jessica Susan McGlothen, Richard, Bob (Doris), Tom (Maria), and Jim (Stephanie) Blaney; special friend Katie; lifelong friends: Justin, Josh, Jason, Joe, Mike, Shawn, Ian, Ben, Eric and numerous other friends, and his beloved kitten Tiger. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Robert McGlothen and fraternal grandmother Helen Schaefer.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2005 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd, Hobart, with Rev. G.C. Martin officiating. Burial will be in Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Visiting hours will be from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.
