OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, APRIL 16, 2009

Isabelle J. Vargo, age 93 of Hobart passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Isabelle had been a lifelong resident of Hobart and a graduate of Hobart High School Class of 1934. She was a member of THT's club, Woman's Lake Federated Club, First United Methodist Church of Hobart and a former member of the Magdalene Circle. Isabelle was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by two children: Joseph (Sue Helm) Vargo of Porter, IN and Beth (Dean) Howell of Hobart, IN; grandchildren; Steve (Amanda) Martinez of Valparaiso and Tanya (Daniel) Warfield of Crown Point; great- grandchildren: David Warfield; Steven III, Mia and Delayna Martinez. Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents: Eugene and Mabel Butler; her husband, Joseph B. Vargo; and one sister, Virginia Traeger.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 654 E. 4th St., Hobart, IN with Rev. Jonathan Gosser officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso. A Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, 2009, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W.
