OBITUARY FROM NW TIMES, DECEMBER 16, 2010
Myrtle C. Koeppen, age 90 passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 and was born December 7, 1920 in Hobart to Charles and Edith (nee Springman) Kietzman who have preceded her in death. Myrtle had been a lifelong Hobart area resident where she attended Hobart High School and was an employee of Lowensteins and Rothchild's before retiring in 1986. She was a longtime faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Hobart.
Myrtle is survived by two sons: Wallace D. Koeppen and Bernard C. (Ruth) Koeppen of Hobart; one daughter, Barbara J. McDowell of Portage; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Husbands: Robert Bonner and Clarence Koeppen; sister Marie Black; and two brothers: Robert and Raymond Kietzman have preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church, 900 Luther Dr., Hobart with Rev. Gary Nagy officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be Friday, December 17, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
