Frank Pardus - Class Of 1959

OBITUARY FROM TRADITIONS FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES (KELLYVILLE, OK) WEBSITE:

Francis Harry Pardus of Eustis, Florida and Sapulpa, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on May 23, 2021 at the age of 80. He was surrounded by the love of his family at the time of his passing.

Francis, or Frank as he preferred to be called (or Pooch as his parents, siblings and close friends would call him), was born February 1, 1941 in Crown Point, Indiana to Francis and Olga Pardus. He graduated from Hobart High School in Hobart, Indiana and served his country for a short time in the United States Navy. He worked in a variety of trades though out his life to always provide for his family, but most often, and most happily found himself driving truck for a living.

Frank had many adventures traveling around the United States with his children and over the course of his life visited all but a handful of States and lived in half a dozen, some more than once. He loved to travel and was quite the Nomad, even venturing to Europe in the 1990’s, a trip that he proudly spoke of often.

In years back he was an avid dart player and competed in numerous tournaments on a semi-professional level all over the country. He was also a proud member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for many years and loved the many benefits that being so offered.

Frank really enjoyed going to old car shows or fishing, especially if one or more of his children or grandchildren could tag along. Though he never found his original 1958 Corvette that he was immensely proud of, he took care of his vehicles as if they were just as cherished.

On Sundays when he was feeling up to it, you would find him at Sunrise Baptist Church in Kellyville, Oklahoma. He loved his church family and would often arrive early to drink coffee and visit.

Frank was quite gregarious and was the type that had never met a stranger and as such, he had many friends from all over the world that he kept in touch with via the Internet and phone.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his children Francis Pardus and wife Amy of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, daughter Shannon Pardus and fiancé Jeff Rogers of Plymouth, Indiana, daughter Joanna Leuwer of Erlanger, Kentucky; grandchildren Summer Velasquez, Dylan Pardus, Christian Pardus, Damion Unland, Daniel McDonald, Annie Sailors, Sean Sailors, Teah Willey, Xinia, Jeffrey, and Kirsten Rogers; great-grandchildren Shannon Pardus, Shae Kelly, Cheyann Unland, Angelina Unland, John Sailors, Tommy Spencer, and Zane Kelly; brothers William (Bill) Pardus and Don Pardus and sister Nona Pardus.

He was preceded in death by his father Francis Joseph Pardus and mother Olga May Pardus, and older brother Larry Lee Pardus.

Private family services have been planned.  Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373.
