Robert "Bob" Edward Walk

Bob was born in Gary, Indiana on April 12, 1943 and passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at the age of 75, in his home.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Denise (Evans), four sons: Brian (Amara), Garrett (Aimee), Alexander and Benjamin Walk and two daughters, Barbra and Smantha Walk. Bob enjoyed his grandchildren, Claudia and Gunnar Walk.

Bob attended Hobart Lutheran Elementary and was a graduate of Hobart High School class of '61. Shortly after graduation Bob joined the U.S. Army and spent his tour in Turkey. Upon returning State side, he was stationed in Tacoma, Washington where he resided the remainder of his life.

Bob was a Computer Programming Engineer, but his main love was his family. He voluteered years as a soccer coach and referee for his boys, attending charity golf events and spending time on the beach with all of his family. In 2006 Bob and Denise became foster parents. After sharing their home with over 100 children and adopting their youngest three between 2009 and 2014, they chose to focus on their immediate family.

Bob is survived by his brother Russell (Mary) Walk and several nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his sister Mondell (Sears) McDowell of Peachtree City, Ga.and his parents, Dorothy (Smith) Sears and F. Lloyd Sears, both of Hobart, Indiana as well as several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. No funeral arrangements or memorial services are planned, at Bob's request. This memorial was written by Bob's wife Denise and his cousin Linda (Smith) Hominger, following a notice posted by his wife on his Facebook page.
