OBITUARY FROM THE GO FUND ME SITE SET UP BY STAN'S WIFE JEAN FLICK:
It's with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to our loving husband, father, brother and Papa, Stan Flick. Stan passed suddenly and unexpectedly on Sept. 2, 2021. The avid Steelers fan is survived by his wife and best friend of 31 years, Jean, his daughter Jeannie Anne, granddaughters Kahlan and Brynn and his precious English Bull Dog Rooney.
Stan loved football (Go Steelers!), grilling on his Traeger, spending time with his wife Jean, spoiling his granddaughters and almost daily chats with his daughter. He also loved to support and cheer on his hometown Hobart Brickies. Stan has battled some health issues over the years but always managed to spread love and joy to everyone he encountered and made friends every where he went! Stan was as big of a Steelers fan as there is and loved to spend time with his friends at the KC Steelers fan club. He left a mark on every life he touched and we're sure he will be watching over everyone, as long as they are cheering for the Steelers that is! Appreciated are the many wonderful friends who have shared so many memories with him and we wish to have the opportunity to remember Stan properly and celebrate his life together.
While there are so many great memories of our time with Stan there is also a sadness that will never be filled without him here. As with any passing of a loved one, there comes the hard part of trying to move forward and that is where we are asking for help. Stan and Jean had just bought their first home and put all financial resources into it fixing it up to live in. He also drove a company car which they will no longer have and was the sole source of their income. We are setting up this GoFundMe to try to alleviate some of the stress and financial burden on Jean as she tries to get through this incredibly difficult time. We are hoping to raise funds to cover the medical and funeral expenses as well as some of the other costs that have come up.
If Stan ever brought a smile to your face, as he has for so many, please share those memories with us as well.
