OBITUARY FROM POST-TRIBUNE, JULY 14, 2009:

Christopher James Whitcomb, age 38 of Hobart, passed away on July 11, 2009. He was a graduate of Hobart High School and a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

He is survived by parents, James and Ada (nee Bussard) Whitcomb of Hobart; sister, Anne (Jon) Krone of LaPorte, IN; maternal grandmother, Arzella Whitcomb of Green Bay, WI; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in WI and TX; nieces, Jessica Krone (Rob Augustyn) and Rachel Krone; nephews, Eric (Stephanie) Krone and Alex Krone all of LaPorte, IN. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Leona and Marlin Bussard; paternal grandfather, Adney E. Whitcomb; and niece, Stephanie Christine Krone.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. at Southlake Nazarene Church, Crown Point. Cremation at the Burns Funeral Home Crematory will preceed the service.
