Jesse A. Shupe, Jr., "J.J.", 26, of Hobart, a longtime Hobart resident, passed away August 5, 1999. Survived by his parents, Jesse and Marlene (nee Anderson) Shupe, Sr., of Hobart; three sisters, Shannon (Rob) Freeville of Hobart, April (fiance, Rodney Cardwell) Shupe of Hobart and Debbie Shupe of Hobart; three brothers, Ted (Jessica) Shupe of Portage, Travis (girlfriend, Connie Goldsworthy) Shupe of Valparaiso and Rob (girlfriend, Laura Richardson) Shupe of Valparaiso; maternal grandparents, Theodore and Eleanore Anderson of Hobart; nieces, Samantha and Bobbi; nephews, Robby, Teddy Jr. and Tommy; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services Sunday, August 8, 1999, 1 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home (corner of Rt 51 & 7th Street), Hobart, IN, with Pastor Richard Brown officiating. Friends may call at the Burns Funeral Home on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., time of services.

Jesse attended Hobart High School and was active in the Hobart softball leagues. He was formerly employed with Gary Ornamental Iron and 7-Up.
