Susan Michelle Rudd (née Allen), born on July 25, 1973, in East Chicago, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She was 52 years old.

Susan was a proud graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1991. Following her education, she pursued a career as a hairdresser, dedicating over 25 years to her craft. Her passion for hairstyling extended beyond her professional work; she also devoted her time and talents to providing hairdressing services for the elderly during her downtime. Susan’s commitment to her profession and her acts of kindness left a lasting impression on those she served.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sierra and Olivia; her mother, Elvia; her sister Laura (Steve) Click; her brother Bill (Nancy), and Daniel (Jennifer).  Susan also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews: Kyle (Ciara), Carter, Kaitlyn, Tori, Nathan, Weston, and Nolan. She was predeceased by her father, Clyde Allen, who passed away in February 2026.

Susan’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May her legacy of love and care bring comfort to those she leaves behind.

Private family services will be conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
