OBITUARY FROM THE NW INDIANA TIMES, OCTOBER 1, 2009:

Robert A. Fick, age 36 of Hobart, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2009. Robert was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1991. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: William and Julia Halaschak; and paternal grandfather, William H. Fick. Robert is survived by his wife, Marlisa (nee Combs) Fick; and daughter, Laura Fick both of Valparaiso; parents: William and Susan Fick of Hobart; brother, William (Kimberly) Fick of Hebron; grandmother, Gertrude Fick of LaPorte; three aunts: Lorraine Hanley of Nashville, IN, Michele (Louis) Roman of LaPorte and Andrea (Herman) Soto of Burns Harbor; two uncles: Andrew (Janice) Halaschak of Portage and William (Mary) Halaschak of Shawnee, KS; and several cousins.
