OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES:
Ronald L. "Ron" Kochan, 27, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2000 as a result of an accident. Ron was a Hobart High School graduate, class of 1991; member of Assumption B.V.M. Church in New Chicago. He was employed at Industrial Steel in Gary. Ron enjoyed outdoor sports, especially golfing, rafting and biking.
Survivors are parents, Ronald and Sharron Kochan of Hobart; brother, Gary (Melody) Kochan of Hobart; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are Thursday, August 31, 2000, 9:30 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, and 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church with Rev. Martin J. Dobrzynski Celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Wednesday, August 30th, from 2 to 9 p.m. with a liturgical prayer service at 3 p.m. at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
