Charles Oscar Wilson - Class Of 1961

OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, JULY 6, 2013:

The family is saddened to announce the passing of Charles Oscar Wilson, 70, of Hebron on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. He was born December 29, 1942 in Gary, the son of Coleman H. and Verna (Troehler) Wilson. Charles was a 1961 graduate of Hobart High School, a U.S. Army veteran, a Run Out Tech at Mittal Steel, and a member of the American Legion Post 502 in South Haven.

On October 9, 1965 in Hobart he married Shirley Dean Williams, who survives in Hebron. Also surviving are his daughters: Toni (David) Hillebrand of Greenville, GA And Tami (Shawn King) Wilson of Thomson, GA; four grandchildren: Jacob, Mady, Niky, and Lexy; a brother, Jack (Joyce) Wilson of Camden, TN; a sister, Dianne (late Allen) Moore of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; and his best four-legged friend, Ellie Mae. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dwayne.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors who have cared for him during his journey. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe Street, Valparaiso with Rev. Joseph Pawlowski officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00-7:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Porter County V.N.A.
