Dennis Driscoll - Class Of 1959

Dennis Alfred Driscoll, 81 of Bolingbrook was born January 26, 1941 in Hobart, Indiana to John and Margaret (Lennertz) Driscoll. He married and spent his life with Frances Joann Madick; she proceeded him in death on January 10, 2010. He is also proceeded in death by his brother Patrick and his Sister Patty.

Dennis is survived by his three children Colleen, Eileen, Maureen and many beloved grandchildren; Breana, AnaLisa, Aiden, Paytin and Oliver. Special mention to his two son-in-laws who he was proud to have in his life, Adam and Johnny.
Dennis graduated from Hobart High School and was a great student. He attended Purdue University before joining the Navy. Dennis enjoyed his time in the Navy, he loved traveling and was proud of his Service. He spent time stationed in Japan, San Diego and his favorite was being stationed was in Hawaii. When he came back home to Indiana he starting working for Bell Communications, later called AT&T and he moved to Chicago where he would meet his wife, Frances. They went bowling on their first date and married on May 9, 1970. Dennis enjoyed family life and raising three children with Frances. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on his favorite teams. The Chicago Cubs. Any Purdue sports team he could watch he loved and he followed Drew Brees throughout his career. He enjoyed a cup of coffee and a warmed up pumpkin loaf from his favorite Starbucks in town. He enjoyed his daily walks throughout the neighborhood and talking to all his friends.

Above all else, Dennis loved his family dearly, he especially loved being a Grandpa to his five grandkids. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandpa, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew & loved him. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday July 21, 2022.

Visitation will be Tuesday July 26, 2022 from 4-8pm at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 530 W. Boughton Road, Bolingbrook. Funeral Service Wednesday July 27 at 10:30am at the Funeral Home and will proceed to the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at 20953 W. Hoff Road in Elwood for a Military Honors Ceremony at 12:30pm.
